
We have been pressing Barnet NHS for information about their plans for the Health Centre, and on 14th February 2012 we received a letter from Tony Hoolaghan, the associate director of primary care in Barnet who explained some of the reasons for the delays, and what their current plans were. In summary, the response says:
They don't say what would happen to Dr Lakhani's existing building (currently also being used as Dr Okonkwo's surgery) - one could imagine it would be sold as part of the business case mentioned above.
LATEST NEWS:
MP Theresa Villiers received an email from Tony Hoolaghan at NHS NCL (North Central London) on Friday 16th March informing her that all the necessary approvals have been granted and the works will start this week. Since then, all attempts to find out from the NHS NCL when the Health Centre will reopen have failed.
We wrote on 11th April, 27th April, and phoned and wrote on 11th May. The response was that we must wait patiently for NHS NCL to issue a press release sometime....
